Your presence at our wedding is present enough. We are travelling for the both of us and simply cannot carry gifts home, so we kindly ask for no physical presents. If you would still like to mark the occasion, a contribution toward our honeymoon or the life we are building together would mean the world, and a Filipino money tree on the day works just as well if that is easier than sending one ahead.
There will be a field for this on the RSVP form once it is live, vegetarian, allergies, anything else, just let us know there and the venue will be told well ahead of the day.
Still being finalised, we will confirm on the RSVP once headcounts are in. If in doubt, ask us directly.
Early April is dry season, expect 33 to 34 degrees Celsius and high humidity. Light, breathable fabrics are your friend, the good news is that Filipino formal wear was already built for this climate, a barong and a terno will both sit more comfortably in the heat than a full suit or a heavy gown would. See the Kasuotan page for fabric notes and styling if you are sourcing a barong or Filipiniana.
San Agustin Church is fully indoors, so the ceremony itself is covered whatever the weather does. April sits in the dry season, so rain on the day is unlikely, but Manila can still surprise you.
Yes, for the areas you will actually be in. Intramuros, Makati and BGC are well trafficked, tourist familiar, and generally comfortable, ordinary city common sense is all that is needed, watch your bag in crowds, do not flash valuables, use Grab or a hotel arranged taxi rather than hailing one off the street at night. The most common tourist scam is a street taxi driver refusing the meter and quoting a wildly inflated flat fare, especially around the airport, if that happens just walk away and book a Grab instead. Manila’s emergency number is 911 nationwide, the tourist assistance line is 151-TOUR (8687).
Do not drink tap water, bottled or filtered water only, including for brushing your teeth if you want to be careful. Restaurant food in the areas covered on the Pasyal page is safe, busy stalls with high turnover are generally fine too if you want to try street food, use the same judgement you would in any big city, if it looks freshly cooked and the stall is busy, it is usually a safe bet.
Nothing you need to plan around, none of the areas on this site sit anywhere near it, but worth knowing: P. Burgos Street in Makati and parts of the Malate and Ermita districts are Manila’s nightlife and red light strip. Fine to walk through in daylight, just not somewhere to wander into alone late at night looking for a quiet bar, stick to BGC or Poblacion instead for evenings out, see the Pasyal page.
Not at all. Every Tagalog phrase on this site carries an English translation beside it, and the same will be true on the day, English is spoken everywhere in Manila.
Manila collects records the way other cities collect postcards, home to the world’s sweetest mango (the carabao mango, Guinness verified), the site of the largest synchronised aerobics class ever attempted (107,000 people at once in Rizal Park), and a five day basketball marathon nobody’s commute could ever rival. Less charming: Metro Manila held the title of the world’s most congested city outright in 2023, and the Philippines is currently rated the second most traffic choked country on Earth. So build in more buffer than feels necessary, a short trip can take much longer at the wrong time of day. Full detail on the Paglalakbay page, but the short version is: Grab and taxis are easy to find, the road itself is the only variable.
Intramuros has limited street parking around San Agustin, a Grab or taxi is genuinely easier than driving yourself. A proper parking map for the church will be shared closer to the date, keep an eye out for it. The Diamond Hotel has its own guest parking for anyone driving to the reception.
Yes, a curated gallery will go up after the wedding. There will also be a shared album link for guests to drop their own candid shots, that link will be added here closer to the date.
15 January 2027. Your household’s unique RSVP code and the form itself will be sent out well ahead of that.
Reach out to either of us directly, or watch the Updates page, anything that comes up often enough gets added here too.
